Living with Type 1 Diabetes, and recently diagnosed with celiac disease, I understand first-hand the challenges of living with nutrition-related conditions. I channel my commitment to health, my love of food, and my passion for competitive fitness into my own daily life as well as my professional practice. I practice what I preach.
I treat men, women, and youth, as well as teams and families. I am committed to evidence-based practice, and use a non-dieting, food first approach, that focuses on balance and long term success.
As I've entered my 40's I've also become more interested in the challenges and changes facing aging populations. A passionate part of my practice is providing evidence based and practical strategies to these populations, with expertise in Women's health and optimizing the performance of master's athletes.
My ventures into high intensity fitness pursuits including boxing and crossfit training, heighten my interest in how food fuels the body for optimal health and performance.
